Underprivileged women and children in our culture are frequently the targets of extortion, torture, and domestic abuse by powerful social groups. Some of our society's most vulnerable members fall prey to gender-based violence and extortion by criminals and traditional elders in rural areas. These groups of people lack access to the nation's fundamental legal system because of their ignorance and extreme poverty, according to the Legal Cell. At the court of law, we have designated volunteer solicitors who have been actively involved in giving the harmed and violated people a legal remedy.
