Building Good Citizen Program

Bangladesh has faced a wide range of difficulties. We have been entering a gloomy era due to unemployment, declining educational standards, and the erosion of moral norms at the social and national levels. Students and young people find themselves in a state of profound despair and aimlessness. They have chosen terrorism and drug addiction because they are misinformed. Consequently, there has been a noticeable increase in municipal crime. The steady erosion of the new generation's potential has put society's moral fabric in danger of collapsing. Our society has already come to view a socioeconomic crisis as a terrible syndrome.

In response to this circumstance, the Sheba Bangladesh Foundation has been   implementing   a grassroots initiative called "Building good citizens through youth leadership development." With the goal of guiding students and the younger generation toward the proper path for their survival, this program is being implemented through seminars, roundtables, training, workshops, and rallies. Since today's youth and students will lead our country in the future.

The ingredients of the program are as follows:

1. Insert family, social and religious values to ensure ethical development

2. Create youth mindset to know own history, culture and heritage

3. Orientation with core themes of constitutional rights, human rights, good governance, gender equity and inter religious dialogue.

The knowledge and experience gained from this program will give students and young people an honest perspective on life, and as a result, they will be ready and proactive enough to create a large youth network that will support both national development and crisis management. As a result, they will have a practical and long-lasting role in addressing development concerns in the cooperative efforts of each quarter at the local levels.

Through the aforementioned program, 748 students and 962 young people have already developed a Good Citizen Network in 37 groups. Additionally, they are currently actively working on their own perimeter.
