Pure Drinking Water Supply Project

The majority of Bangladesh's southern and coastal districts' drinking water is unfit for human consumption due to its high salt. Additionally, drinking water in many places contains saturated arsenic, which is extremely harmful to human health. Aside from that, the water supply system in the majority of the districts, including Dhaka City, is flawed. Because of this, there is a chance that the city's drinking water will be contaminated with different bacterial and pathogenic characteristics. Most city people rely on boiling water because they don't trust the safety of the water source. Because some leftover particles linger at the surface and the minerals in the water become inactive for human health, boiling water cannot ensure safety.

Because the aluminum pots used for this purpose could melt on regular inner wall heat and gradually dilute in water, the boiled water could have long-term effects on human health. In actuality, although the boiled water appears safe to drink, there are long-term health risks. Due to a lack of cooking fuel, the majority of the impoverished and needy are unable to boil water. It is a reality that many individuals suffer from water-borne illnesses, including stomach problems, hepatitis, typhoid, etc., as a result of not having access to clean drinking water. A bunch of dishonest businessmen use the consumer communities' trust to sell subpar bottled water.

Selling contaminated water to unsuspecting customers under the guise of clean drinking water is unethical. In light of these conditions, the Sheba Foundation has been carrying out a project called "Pure Drinking Water," in which the Foundation uses the most recent technology to decontaminate and purify water before supplying it to homes, hospices, hotels, businesses, and educational institutions. In Bangladesh's southern and coastal districts, the Foundation plans to establish community-based desalination and water purifying facilities for the general public. Mafco Aqua Research, a well-known company, has been giving the Sheba Bangladesh Foundation initiative all the
